Definition of chakras

Chakras (/ˈtʃʌk.rəz, ˈtʃæk-/ CHUK-rəz, CHAK-; Sanskrit: चक्र, romanized: cakra, lit. ‘wheel, circle’; Pali: cakka) means wheel or the rotating center. These are energetic points existing throughout the body, used for mindfulness practices as well as traditional medication.

The knowledge of chakras, or chakra study, has remained with sense thousands of years ago from ancient India.

In essence, these wheel-like energy centers run in a clockwise motion when balanced. In case of imbalances, the chakras may be closed (temporarily blocked), or even run counterclockwise.

There are 7 chakras within the body, along with 101 other smaller chakras.

The main chakras include;

  1. The Root Chakra
  2. The Sacral Chakra
  3. The Solar Plexus Chakra
  4. The Heart Chakra
  5. The Throat Chakra
  6. The Third-Eye Chakra
  7. The Crown Chakra

The main chakras have to flow vital energy from the top chakra to the base chakra. Or, as the ancient yogis put it, channeling Akashic energy from the sky to the material energy on earth.

Considering this definition about chakras, our whole existence, in our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual planes are controlled and channelized by these energy centers, which you can learn by referring to chakras for beginners a guide to balancing your chakra energies.

What happens if your chakras do not function well?

Negative patterns in our lives bring down the vibration of our energetic body; please note that even modern physics have realized we are nothing but energy in a condensed form. It may be hard to imagine that the table in your house, your shoes, and even your body are just energy, but the difference between you and the table is that your energy is conscious, and the table isn’t. If you are interested in the subject, you can research god particle theory that was proved in the year 2012.

Back to the chakras, feelings such as anger, hatred, lack of exercise, bodily toxins, etc, alone or all put together, can cause lowering energy levels. This harms the complete chakra system, body, and energetic circulation through the main and smaller chakras.

The wrong rotation of chakras manifests at different levels. At first, it affects the person on a mental and emotional level, and if it is left untreated, it can result in health issues. As far-fetched as it may sound, Indian yogis have been curing diseases of the mind and body for generations with these techniques, relying merely on increasing the partial awareness of the subjects.

Why do I need to read chakra books?

If you have read a couple of paragraphs above and these words are new to you, your head must be filled with questions. I know because I felt the same when I first heard about chakras. The good news is that these magical energy portals can be trained to function, which can change your life in unimaginable ways.

Learning more about different chakra systems, how to heal themes, what blocks them in the first place, and a few real-life examples to help you put the dots together is all you need to master your chakras- hence master your life.

Reading a trustable book on how to heal and balance the life force within your body is a truly rewarding experience. Not only it helps you to know yourself better but also allows you to control your life instead of being swept away by the end of emotions of yourself and others.

Here you can find a list of the best chakra books, from advanced chakra healing to tips for balancing chakras for beginners, available on the market. I have read them one by one and I must say, each of them holds a different angle of perspective and unique information. Whether you are new to this knowledge or already have mastered your info, you can always learn more.
